GOLF:
The existing 9-hole Standerton Golf Club is a wonderful layout with an excellent variety of holes. Changes in elevation, water features, testing dog-legs and great views are all part of the experience. Imagine all this, and upgraded with new bent grass greens, some new holes and a few tweaks to the design and you will have a truly magnificent course to enjoy. The experienced firm of Matkovich & Hayes Golf Course Design and Construction have already drafted the course designs and will undertake the upgrades.
THE VAAL RIVER & GROOTDRAAI DAM:
Grootverlangen borders on the Vaal River which provides immediate access for fishing, paddling/kayaking and all non-motorised water activities.
Only a 10 minute drive from the estate, Grootdraai Dam is the tenth largest dam in South Africa. All types of watersports are available here from power-boating, sailing and windsurfing to fishing and paddling. The boat club offers secure mooring and launch areas while the banks of the dam are perfect for a family picnic.
STANDERTON SPORTS COMPLEX:
Standerton Sports Complex is just outside our gate; rugby, soccer, tennis, swimming and equestrian activities are all available.
SHOPPING:
The town centre of Standerton is a short drive away and provides restaurants and comprehensive shopping facilities.
